Sacred Heart has been a strong member of the Danville community since 1953. We provide an environment for students to grow spiritually, socially, intellectually, and physically. With a strong curriculum that employs a variety of learning tactics that integrate faith, culture, and life, our students are prepared for the world once they graduate. At Sacred Heart, we are committed to the success of our current students – and continued success of our alumni.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Sacred Heart has continued to improve by adding new technology to classrooms, providing new instructional materials for teachers, and continuing to teach our curriculum in person. While these additions to our school were incredible, they were given as a part of a one-time COVID-19 Relief program. We need to continue to grow and advance alongside our community and students. How do we plan to accomplish this?

LEARN TO LEAD.
Sacred Heart Catholic School is excited to further our campaign efforts within the $30 million Learn to Lead campaign initiated by Bishop Barry Knestout that will strengthen and expand the mission of Catholic Schools throughout the Diocese of Richmond.
Our goal for the five-year campaign is to raise a total of $2.4 million to fund financial aid for our families and improve our campus in important ways. Additionally, we will begin raising $10 million in endowment funding over the next 20 years.
$2 MILLION FOR FINANCIAL AID
ENSURING DESERVING CHILDREN HAVE ACCESS TO A CATHOLIC EDUCATION
Through our Financial Aid Assistance Fund, we plan to raise $400,000 each year over the next five years to aid families from our community with the cost of tuition. Mainly, we aim to do this through the Education Improvement Scholarships Tax Credits Program (EISTC) and other scholarship gifts. By donating through the EISTC Program, donors will receive 65% of their donation in Virginia state tax credit.

$400K INVESTMENT IN INFRASTRUCTURE
BUILDING UPON OUR SUCCESS
Our Campus Excellence Fund has a goal of $400,000 over the next five years. Various improvements need to be made around the school such as a new roof, installing energy efficient windows, restroom renovations, and ongoing maintenance. Sacred Heart is eligible to receive a 50% match of funds raised from the Parish Share Matching Grant.
$10 MILLION FOR ENDOWMENT
STRENGTHENING OUR FOUNDATION FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF LEADERS
It’s never too early to begin planning for future generations. Sacred Heart has been a central member of the Danville community for almost 70 years, and we hope to continue to do so for many more years. We hope to raise $400,000 in endowed income by growing our endowment to $10 million over 20 years. Through donations and legacy gifts, we can secure a great future for the next generation that will walk through Sacred Heart’s hallways.
