Centrally located in the city of Norfolk, Virginia, Christ the King Catholic School serves families throughout the Hampton Roads area. For 69 years, the school has provided a quality faith and learning environment. Christ the King School was the first Catholic school in the Norfolk area to provide Special Education Services to children with learning disabilities.
We continue to expand those services and are now offering enhanced programs for Talented and Gifted students. We believe that these services further our core mission — to provide a quality education based on Christian values to as many children as possible — regardless of ability to pay or learning styles. We take pride in providing a loving and nurturing environment conducive to learning for all children.

Christ the King Catholic School is excited to further our campaign efforts within the $30 million Learn to Lead campaign initiated by Bishop Barry Knestout that will strengthen and expand the mission of Catholic Schools throughout the Diocese of Richmond. Our need for the five-year campaign is to raise a total of $2.9 million to fund financial aid for our families and improve our campus in important ways.

SISTER CLAIRE FUND
Christ The King Catholic School has been a mainstay of Catholic Education in Norfolk since 1954. Many students, teachers, staff and principals have passed through CTK over the decades. One person stands out as someone who exemplified Christ’s loving kindness. That person was Sister Claire OSF. From 1965 to 1995, Sister Claire served as leader, teacher, friend and mentor for many students, parents and fellow staff. To honor her decades of dedication to Christ the King this campaign will establish the Sister Claire Society Fund that will help offset the expense of preschool and elementary school education. We hope that over time this fund grows as we continue to Elevate, Educate and Empower our future leaders.
BUILDING UPON OUR SUCCESS
$2.9M INVESTMENT IN INFRASTRUCTURE
Our Campus Excellence Fund has a need of $2.9M over the next five years. Various improvements need to be made around the school such as a new roof, installing energy efficient windows, restroom renovations, and ongoing maintenance. Christ the King Catholic School is eligible to receive a 50% match of funds raised from the Parish Share Matching Grant.
